BrewNote Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BrewNote (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

BrewNote is designed to store your brewing notes, recipes, and batch data on your own device. We do not require an account to use the app, and we do not collect personal information unless you explicitly choose to provide it (for example, by contacting us for support).

How We Use Information

Any information you enter into BrewNote is used solely to provide the app’s functionality to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Data Storage

Your brewing data is stored locally on your device. BrewNote has no server and no cloud sync, so we never receive a copy of it.

Backup and Restore

You can export your BrewNote data to a zip file and import it again later, for example on a new phone. The zip file is created only when you ask for it and is saved wherever you choose. If you store it with a cloud storage provider or send it to someone, that service’s own privacy policy applies to the file.

Recipe Import

You can import a recipe from a photo or from a link shared from a recipe website. Photos and page text are read by a model that runs on your device; they are not uploaded to us or to any other service.

To import from a link, BrewNote downloads that web page directly from the website you shared. As with visiting the page in a browser, that website receives a standard web request, which includes your IP address, and handles it under its own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

BrewNote does not integrate with third-party analytics or advertising services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
